Asian Indoor Games Blitz - China Team Wins, Sasikiran, Koneru get Individual Honors |

 The China team won the Macau Asian Indoor Games Blitz Team Championship on Saturday with India winning Silver and Kazakhstan the bronze. The day before, Krishnan Sasikiran and Koneru Humpy, both of India, won the men`s and women`s gold medals, respectively, in the individual blitz championship. See chess results. The China team won the 9-round Swiss Macau Asian Indoor Games Blitz Team Championship on Saturday with India winning Silver and Kazakhstan the bronze. The day before, Krishnan Sasikiran and Koneru Humpy, both of India, won the men`s and women`s gold medals, respectively, in the individual blitz championship consisting of 9-round Swiss qualifications, 4-game semifinal and 4-game final matches. Krishnan Sasikiran and Koneru Humpy, both of India, won the men`s and women`s gold medals, respectively, in the Macau Asian Indoor Games individual blitz championship. Sasikiran beat Murtas Kazhgaleyev of Kazakhstan while Koneru beat former women`s world champion Zhu Chen of Qatar.
