Filipino Wesley So, 14, is set to become the world`s youngest Grandmaster, for now, as he completed his third norm at the 3rd Prospero Pichay International Open held 1-7 December 2007 at the Duty Free Philippines in Manila. Born in October 1993, eight months after GM Negi of India, Wesley So`s other GM norms were from the World Juniors in Armenia and Bad Wiessee, Germany last year. Asian Indoor Games Champion Ni Hua won the tournament among 68 players from six countries. The event is the second leg of the ASEAN Grand Prix. See results and standings in chess results.com.
