The contest "The best pens 2007" to award the best journalists who cover the sport life of the country took place in Moldova. In accordance with the decision of the Executive Commitee of the "Association of the sport mass media of Moldova" the winners of the contest are: Boris Kharchenko - newspaper "Vremya", Ion Robu - agency "Basa-Press", Neli Ionku - TV NT, Alexei Popov - "Meridian Sport", Ion Sandu - agency "Moldpress", Dorin Zheregi - PRO TV, Eduard Chobanu - newspaper "Moldavskiye Vedomosti", Anrey Login - newspaper "Timpul", Lidiya Benedikovskaya - newspaper "Argumenty I fakty", Alexandr Botnary - TV-7.

One of the nominations of the contest was "The best sport book of the year". Feodor Skripchenko, General Secretary of Moldova Chess Federation, sport journalist, observer of "Independent Moldova" newspaper, chess trainer, with his book "For you, parents. How and why you should teach your children to play chess" became a winner of this nomination.
