Russian Club Chess Championship took place in Dagomys, Sochi (Russia) from 1 to 14 April 2008. This championship was the strongest in the history of the Russian team competitions. The tournament system was round robin. First four teams will have the right to participate in the European Club Cup 2008. There was a restriction in the championship to the ``legionnaires`` - each team was allowed to state no more than three foreigners.

The winner-team consisted of Grandmasters: Teimour Radjabov, Alexei Shirov, Gata Kamsky, Alexander Grischuk, Vladimir Malakhov, Vladimir Akopian, Alexey Dreev, and Alexander Motylev. The average rating of the team was 2700.
