Asian Zonal 3.2 Chess Championship 2019 took place in Dhaka, Bangladesh from March 14th to 24th.

40 players and 24 players from three countries (Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka) took part in the Open and Women`s sections accordingly. The champion of the Open Section of 3.2 Zonal Championship Mohammad Fahad Rahman from Bangladesh qualified for the 2019 World Cup. The winner of 3.2 Zonal Women’s Championship 2019 Sultana Sharmin Shirin from Bangladesh qualified for the Women’s World Cup.
