The annual International RSSU Chess Cup known as “Moscow Open” is held for the 15th time this year.

It is one of the biggest chess festivals in the world and it comprises 8 tournaments for youth, veterans, professionals, amateurs etc. There is also an extensive program of additional events, including lectures, seminars, trainings, blitz tournaments. 2000+ chess fans take part in the Festival. The total guaranteed prize fund of the Cup amounts to 4.500.000 rub (approx. 69.000 USD). The winners will be known on February, 3.

After 6 rounds six players are leading in the Open tournament: Ponkratov Pavel, Pridorozhni Aleksei, Mozharov Mikhail, Zakhartsov Vladimir, Khanin Semen, Timofeev Artyom have 4,5/6.
