2nd Longtou Cup the Belt and Road Chess Open

Qinhuangdao Chess Association invites all players to participate in 2nd Longtou cup the Belt and Road chess open tournaments from 15th to 25th April 2019 in Qinhuangdao Hebei China.

1. Participation

It is open to all rated and unrated players with FIDE ID. The tournament will be divided into two groups-A group and challenger group. A group: players rated 2000 or above can play in A group.

Challenger group: players rated 1999 or without rating can play in challenger group.

2. System

2.1 FIDE rating is calculated. If players are less than 1/3 in challenger group, FIDE rating will not be calculated.

2.2 The latest FIDE rule is adopted.

2.3 Swiss system of 9 rounds. The time control is 90 minutes for each player with an increment of 30 seconds per move starting from the first move.

2.4 Men and women players will play together.

3. Prize fund

3.1 Prize for A group is as below in Chinese currency (before tax).

3.3 players with the same scores will not share the prize. Women players can get both prizes.

4. Payment

4.1 Entry fee

Rated players: $50
Unrated players: $80
IM, GM, WGM and players rated 2500: no entry fee

4.2 Board and lodging

Hotel: Sheraton hotel
The twin room for each person is 4800CNY including hotel accommodation and 3 meals, starting with the dinner on 15th April 2019 until the lunch on 25th April 2019.
Register before 15th Feb: 4000CNY
Register before 1st Mar: 4400CNY
If player wants to upgrade to single room, he or she should pay for extra 3000CNY.
GM rated 2700 will be provided free single room with meals. The first three registered GM below 2700 will be provided free room and meals in a twin room basis.

5. Transportation: The Organizer will provide airport transfers from Beijing International Airport to the Official Hotel, and from the Official Hotel to the airport at official arrival day and departure day.
