The 1st edition of Prague International Chess Festival will take place in Prague/Czech Republic, from 5th to 16th March 2019, in organization of Novy Bor Chess Club. The official venue will be Hotel Don Giovanni.

The Festival consists of two closed invitational tournaments: Grandmaster and Challengers, Main Open tournament, and several open events for youth and junior players.

The Grandmaster event will be of 20th category, and Challengers of 14th category. Some of the players participating in the event are: Czech #1 David Navara, India #2 Harikrishna Pentala and Hungary #1 Richard Rapport in Masters tournament, and GMs Alexei Shirov, Mateusz Bartel, Thai Dai Van Nguyen and David Paravyan in Challengers tournament. The rest of the line-up will be announced shortly.
