The 19th Poikovsky Karpov Chess Tournament was held from 27th May to 5th June, 2018, in Poikovsky, a town in Khanty-Mansiysk region of Russia.

The event was a 10-player round-robin tournament with the time control 100’/40 moves + 50’ + 30”.

The 19th edition of this prestigious competition featured a mix of the young Russian stars and experienced foreign Grandmasters.

Grandmaster Dmitry Jakovenko from Ugra is the winner of the tournament with 6,5/9 points. This is his third title in Poikovsky, having previously won in 2007 and 2012.
