The 32nd International chess open Pierre & Vacances is taking place from 19-25th February at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France.
The event features three sections:
- A tournament for players rated 2200 and more. 9-round Swiss.
- B Tournament for players rated 2100 and under. Players ranked between 2100 and 2200 can choose between the tournament A and B.
- C Tournament for players rated 1600 and under. Players ranked between 1600 and 1700 can choose between tournament B or C.
The prize fund for the top section is 6000 EUR, with 1800 EUR dedicated to the winner.
The top seeded players are Grandmasters Maxime Lagarde, Artur Neiksans, Jinshi Bai, Jules Moussard, Luca Moroni, Nikita Meskovs, Gao Rui and Michele Godena.
