The Belarus Chess Championships 2018 for men and women are taking place from 17-28th January at the National Historical Museum in Minsk.
Both sections are 12-player round robins.
The grandiose opening of the Championships was attended by the partners and friends of the Belarusian Chess Federation, representatives of ministries, sports federations, the diplomatic corps and all national media.
Before the start of the first round, President of the Belarus Chess Federation Anastasia Sorokina presented the souvenir to the deputy Director of the National Historical Museum Nina Vladimirovna.
