XI Remberto Fernández Chess Tournament |

We are pleased to invite you to the XI Remberto Fernández Chess Tournament in its Second International Edition, to be held in Havana, Cuba. Participation is free, in case of being university, please inform in which university you study or work.
The event is scheduled from April 28th to May 8th, 2018. See the event program at the end. International norms will be granted during the event and certificates will be delivered in the closing ceremony.
The tournament will be held at the University of Informatics Sciences, at http://www.uci.cu you can get more information about this center. The institution is located 15 minutes from José Martí International Airport. The official announcements are published in the following links:

FIDE current international regulations will apply; the game time will be 90 minutes with 30 seconds increment from move 1. It will be played by the Swiss System to 10 rounds. The tolerance time will be half an hour.
Fifty players are estimated to participate; Grand Master, International Master, Woman Grand Master and Woman International Master players will have priority. Cuban chess players possessing Elo of 2400, foreigners who has Elo superior to 2200 and those players from the university with Elo superior to 2150 or that hold the titles of FIDE Master and Woman FIDE Master. The organizing committee reserves the right of admission.
