The International GM tournament "Third Saturday- Djenovici-Montenegro" took place from 18-26th November at Hotel Milena in Herceg Novi, Montenegro.

The tournament format was 9-round Swiss and the event was valid for FIDE title norms.

International Master Saptarshi Roy convincingly won the tournament with 7,5 points, leaving GM Nebojsa Nikcevic point and a half behind. Saptarshi Roy completed his third and final GM norm with a round to spare.

Gabriel Bick from USA shared the third place with GM Dejan Pikula and earned an IM-norm.

The tournaments “Third Saturday” (round robin closed tournaments) are suitable for players who want to achieve ELO points and/or GM and IM norms. The next batch of tournaments is scheduled for 15-25th December.
