PARDUBICE OPEN – ELO FIDE and LOK CR credited grand master tournament, part of ACP TOUR


In the main tournament Pardubice Open were presented 335 players from 38 countries. „We saw 46 GMs and 62 IMs," said director of Czech Open Jan Mazuch. After eight rounds of Pardubice Open, only one player remained in the lead – GM Krejci from Czech Republic. In the final round he played with black pieces against GM Babu Lalith from India. Krejci knew that a draw would be enough for him to win the whole PARDUBICE OPEN but he even won. „I am really satisfied with my achievement and it is definitely the best moment in my career,” said GM Jan Krejci.

Second place went to GM Abhijeet Gupta. „I wanted to win the tournament but also the second place is a success for me. Next year i will be better," promised Gupta. Bronze goes to Russia thanks to GM Lintchevski. The second best performance among the Czech players gave twofold winner of Czech Open GM Babula (5th place with 7 points) and third Czech player was first seeded GM Viktor Laznicka (8th place with 6,5 points).

The best woman in the tournament proved to be WFM Dewi Citra (2227) from Indonesia, who finished 114th. Best player in the U18 category was IM Roven Vogel (2475) from Germany, who took 11th place with 6,5 points. The trophy for the best senior player went to the Czech player Vlastimil Jansa (2446), who finished 45th with 6 points. This year the totals of 17 norms were distributed, out of it two norms of GM (Sayantan Das, Christopher Noe).

EVROPA RESTAURANT OPEN – ELO FIDE < 2400 rating tournament

The 8 point winner of this tournament was Boris Smirnov from Russia. Pavel Certek from Slovakia and Evgeny Okun from Russia finished after him.

GASCO OPEN – ELO FIDE < 2100 rating tournament

With the total of 8 points, 12 years old Sumiya Chinguun from Mongolia dominated the GASCO OPEN final table, followed by Sergei Polich from Ukraine and Michal Jares from Czech Republic.

DOSTIHOVY SPOLEK OPEN – ELO FIDE < 1700 rating tournament

The gold medal in this tournament went to Jakub Joukl from Czech Republic, who scored 7,5 from the maximum of 9 points. Silver goes to Poland thanks to Jakub Drozdz and third was Vasily Alekseev from Russia.
