Fantastic tournament had also two young players from India. Sayantan Das (born in 1997) finished third and one of the world's greatest talents – Sarin Nihal (born in 2004) was on 10th place,“ said the festival chess expert, IM Petr Pisk.

Especially from India from where came 27 chess players” said Jan Mazuch, the director of Czech Open. On the main event of festival also play 46 GMs, 3 WGMs, 62 IMs, 4 WIMs, 74 FMs and 9 WFMs. “The starting list is very strong, like every year for that matter," summed up Mazuch.

Number one seed for this year is GM Viktor Laznicka (2669) from Czech Republic. Number two in starting list is GM Abhijeet Gupta (2625) and number three is Czech GM Jiri Stocek (2590).
