The 2nd East Asian Youth Chess Championship was held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia from the 17th – 26th of June which incorporated the Rapid and Blitz of the same name.

The East Asian Youth Chess Championship is only for member federations of zone 3.3 and China. After 1 week of hard fought battles on the chess boards, the winners were declared.

Open 18 – FM Dambasuren Baturen (Mongolia)
Girls 18 – FM Ochirkhuya Ulziikhishigjargal (Mongolia)
Open 16 – CM Byambasuren Garidmagnai (Mongolia) – on tie break
Girls 16 – Thi Diem Quynh Tran (Vietnam)
Open 14 – Tsog-Ochir Tengis (Mongolia)
Girls 14 – WFM Ngoc Thuy Duong Bach (Vietnam)
Open 12 – Yesuntumur Tugstumur (Mongolia)
Girls 12 – Bui Thi Thanh Van Vu (Vietnam)
Open 10 – Huy Phuoc Bui (Vietnam)
Girls 10 – Gankhulug Khaliunaa (Mongolia)
Open 8 – Tran Gia Phuc Pham (Vietnam)
Girls 8 – Khuchbayar Yesugen (Mongolia)
Open 6 – Nghia Gia Binh Nguyen (Vietnam)
Girls 6 – Azjargal Chinzorigt (Mongolia)
