This will be the eighth edition of our summer chess festival in the wonderful place of Erice.

We will offer, as usual, to chess players and their companions: cheap prices, good weather and wonderful beaches, great cooking and great chess masters to help achieving norms!

Three Opens, A for players with ≥1900 rating, B for players with < 1900 rating in 9 rounds and C for players with < 1600 elo in 7 rounds, will be played from July 28th to August 4th, 2017 in Erice.

Erice in western Sicily (Italy) is 15 km away from 'airport "Vincenzo Florio" in Trapani (Ryanair Hub) and only 70 Km far from Palermo Airport; both are well connected with Erice by a quick bus motorway service.

The little medieval villlage is a true and proper tourist pearl of Sicily, located about 700 meters above sea level overlooking the sea. To arrive in Erice, can reach Trapani (Vincenzo Florio airport) or Palermo (Falcone - Borsellino airport) by plane with daily low-costs flights offering direct connections from leading Italian and European airports as Paris , Madrid, London, Amsterdam, Athens, Girona, Bratislava, Frankfurt Hann, Eindhoven, Kaunas, Krakow, Warsaw at very cheap prices. We will program excursions to wonderful San Vito beach, Scopello, and the archaeological areas of Segesta and Mothya.

However, for players and guests interested in prolonging their accomodation and enjoy our places in relax, the organizers announce that the special prices in Hotel villa San Giovanni will be valid from July 25th until August 7th. In that case we advise you to visit Palermo and Egadi islands.
