FIDE Online Arena invites all Federations to prepare for the Baku Olympiad online!
The FIDE Online Commission proudly announces that FIDE Online Arena is able to organize matches with “Olympiad” standard time control: 90 minutes for 40 moves and 30 minutes until the end of the game, with 30 seconds additional time per move, starting from move 1, per player. Such matches cannot be setup by the members themselves, they must be arranged in co-ordination with FIDE Online Commission.
We invite all National Federations to use the new feature during the preparation of their National teams before the 42nd Chess Olympiad in Baku. FIDE Online Arena provides a solution that simulates the Olympiad tournament conditions and tension, and eliminates travel expenses. The Federations may freely negotiate and arrange online matches between their National teams and inform the Online Commission 8-10 days in advance. It is also possible to arrange mini tournaments between National teams. Interested Federations are invited to email FIDE Secretariat for more details.
