On June 14th Kirsan Ilyumzhinov paid a short visit to Munich, where he visited the Allianz Arena, the domestic stadium of one of the best European football clubs – FC Bayern München, as well as TSV 1860 München. More than 2000 events per year are held on this ultramodern platform. Mr. Jurgen Muth, the Managing Director, showed the possibilities of the complex and made an excursion around the stadium. Both sides discussed the terms of potential cooperation, in particular, the holding of World Rapid and Blitz Chess Championships including the women’s championships. The Allianz Arena was built in 2006 for the FIFA World Cup and until now only the football matches were held there.
