FIDE President at Russia - China Friendship Chess Tournament Print

On June 10th in Moscow the FIDE President participated in the opening ceremony of the traditional match between the national chess teams of Russia and China which was held at the Botvinnik Central House of Chess. The friendship tournament was established in 2001. Since then the teams of Russia and China met 10 times. The current total score is 5:5. At the opening ceremony also present were Igor Levitin, Russian President’s Advisor, Andrey Filatov, President of Russian Chess Federation and FIDE Vice President. The Chief Arbiter of the tournament is IA Anatoly Bykhovsky.
