On June 2, in Doha the FIDE Deputy President Georgios Markopoulos met with Secretary General of Qatar Olympic Committee Dr. Abdulrahman bin Thani Al-Kuwari at the QOC Buildings.

Talks during the meeting focused on the aspects of sports cooperation between the two sport organizations and means of supporting and promoting such cooperation in the future.

For his part, the FIDE Deputy President praised Qatar’s sport infrastructure development and its ambitious career to promote sport in the region.
