On behalf of the World Chess Federation (FIDE) which embraces 186 national chess federations I have the honor to invite You to the official opening ceremony and the first move of the FIDE Candidates Tournament where eight strongest chess players of the world will compete for the World Champion title. The Tournament is traditionally considered to be the most important part of the FIDE World Chess Championship cycle.
The opening will be held on 10 March 2016. The first round will take place in Moscow on 11 March 2016, at 03:00 p.m. The time and venue will be informed later.
