On August 26, the FIDE President arrived on a working visit to Mongolia. Together with Sanjmyatav Yadamsuren, Member of Parliament of Mongolia, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, and Sainbayar Tserendorj, President of Mongolian Chess Federation, the FIDE President visited the venue of the World Youth U16 Chess Olympiad, which is currently held in Ulaanbaatar.

In the Mongolian capital, President Ilyumzhinov met with the President of Mongolia Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj. At the meeting also present was Mr. Lundeg Purevsuren, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia.
