On July 17th, FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov arrived in Abu Dhabi, where he met with Нis Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Head of the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Social Development, also in charge of sports. The parties discussed the matters in connection with the preparation and organisation of the FIDE Congress in the Emirates capital, scheduled to be held 1-9 September 2015, as well as a possibility to hold FIDE offical tournaments in the UAE, alongside with other aspects of bilateral cooperation. President Ilyumzhinov extended his congratulations to Sheikh Nahyan and all followers of islam, on the occasion of the end of holy month of Ramadan.
