On July 1st Kirsan Ilyumzhinov arrived to Lviv. On the next day in Lviv’s city administration the FIDE delegation met with Mayor of Lviv Andriy Sadovyi, Minister of Youth and Sports Igor Zhdanov, Vice Governor of Lviv oblast Yuri Pidlisny, Women’s World Champion GM Mariya Muzychuk and her sister GM Anna Muzychuk. The sides discussed the possible application for the organization of Women’s World Championship Match. As a result, the Ministry of Sport and Chess federation of Ukraine in association with the city administration of Lviv send to FIDE an application for the organization of the Match between Women’s World Champion GM Mariya Muzychuk and the challenger GM Hou Yifan. On June 2nd the FIDE President also met with the Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko in the famous Pototsky Palace, an architectural monument of 19th century. At the meeting were discussed the issues related to the match organization, organizing committee, as well as the chess festival to be held during the match. According to the application, the Match will be held in March 2016. At the suggestion of FIDE President, the Organizing Committee will be headed by the President of Ukraine, who highly evaluated the development of chess in the country and especially in Lviv city, which produced a lot of chess masters and trainers. He also added that the Women’s World Championship Match would contribute to the popularization of chess not only in the Ukraine but also in the world. FIDE President also visited GM Vasyl Ivanchuk's Chess School – Club. The famous grandmaster and Women’s World Chess Champion Mariya Muzychuk gave a master class for the kids.
