During the Presidential Board Meeting in Chengdu, China, the contract for the 2017 World Chess Cup (Tbilisi, Georgia) and 2018 World Chess Olympiad (Batumi, Georgia) was signed by Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, FIDE President, Zurab Azmaiparashvili, ECU President and General Director of the Organizing Committee, and Giorgi Giorgadze, President of the Georgian Chess Federation.
