Round 6
After a day off the World Team Chess Championship restarted in Tsaghkadzor. In the 6th round the leaders - the teams of China and Cuba, were noticed with victories. In the hard struggle the Ukrainians took advantage over the team of Cuba. Due to Yuriy Kryvoruchko's victory the Ukrainians exceeded the opponent with the minimum score 2.5 : 1.5. The same score was in the match Israel - China- 1.5 : 2.5. Here the winning point for Chinese was scored by Wei Yi. The team of Russia took victory with the minimum score. It exceeded the team of India due to Sergey Karjakin's victory. The team of the USA took a confident victory in the confrontation Egypt - USA with the score 1 : 3, the match Armenia - Hungary ended in peace with the score 2 : 2.
Round 5
World Team Chess Championship is coming to its median. In the 4th round the team of China unexpectedly took a confident victory over the Armenians with the score 0.5 : 3.5. The Egyptians yielded the team of Cuba with the score 1 : 3, India won Hungary with the minimum score, Ukraine was stronger than Israel, again with the score 1.5 : 2.5. Only the match Russia - USA ended in a draw with the score 2:2.
After taking victory over the Egyptians the team of Cuba is still leading in the tournament table.
Round 4
World Team Chess Championship is coming to its median. In the 4th round the team of China unexpectedly took a confident victory over the Armenians with the score 0.5 : 3.5. The Egyptians yielded the team of Cuba with the score 1 : 3, India won Hungary with the minimum score, Ukraine was stronger than Israel, again with the score 1.5 : 2.5. Only the match Russia - USA ended in a draw with the score 2:2.
After taking victory over the Egyptians the team of Cuba is still leading in the tournament table.
Round 3
The meetings of the 3rd round of World Team Chess Championship took place on April 21st in Tsaghkadzor. The team of Cuba continues to be noticed with its successful game. As a result of a hard struggle it could take victory over Armenia with the score 2.5 : 1.5.
After losing game to Armenians Ukrainians were able to gather their forces and just defeated the Egyptians with the score 4 : 0. A high score was signed in the match Israel - India 3.5 : 0.5.
Hungary managed to take victory over the USA with the minimum score, the match China - Russia ended in peace. After played 3 rounds the teams of Cuba and Israel are leading with 5 points.
In the upcoming 4th round will meet India - Hungary, Russia - USA, Armenia - China, Egypt - Cuba, Israel - Ukraine.
Round 2
The 2nd round in a row the current world champion - Russian team unexpectedly stumbles. The latter lost the game against Cuban team. The winning point was given to the Cubans by Dominguez who took advantage over Grischuk with black pieces. The other 3 matches ended in peace. The match Armenia - Ukraine was effective. Taking advantage over Ruslan Ponomariov Levon Aronian ensured victory for his team.
All the confrontations in the matches Hungary-China and India-USA ended in a draw. The confrontation Egypt-Israel also ended in a draw but here each side had one victory - Shoker took victory over Sutovsky, Rodshtein was stronger than Adly.
Round 1
The meetings of first round of the World Team Chess Championship took place today in Tsaghkadzor. The confrontations Ukraine-Russia and Israel-Armenia were central. Pavel Eljanov defeating Evgeny Tomashevsky gave his team a victory with the minimum score 2.5 : 1.5. The same score was in the match Israel-Armenia. Here the winning point was scored by Maxim Rodshtein who took advantage over Vladimir Akopian.
It seemed that the match USA-China would end in peace. But when the match score was 1.5 : 1.5 and the draw was predictable around the 1st board, Ding Liren took victory over Samuel Shankland and China took victory. In the match India-Egypt the favourites were found stronger and the Indians took victory with the score 3 : 1. The only in-draw was signed in the match Hungary - Cuba with the score 2 : 2.
In the second round will compete India - USA, Hungary - China, Russia - Cuba, Armenia - Ukraine, Egypt - Israel.

The festive opening ceremony of the World Team Chess Championship took place at the Golden Palace Hotel Resort and in Tsaghkadzor on April 18th, 2015.
The ceremony was honored by the presence of President of the Republic of Armenia, who doubles as the President of the Armenian Chess Federation, Serzh Sargsyan, FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, a number of state officials and the delegates of 10 participant countries.
After the show the President Serzh Sargsyan delivered a speech welcoming the chess players and chess lovers in one of Armenia’s best tourist destinations – Tsaghkadzor. He congratulated all people present in the hall on the occasion of this great event and wished good luck and a fair competition to all the participants.
In his speech Kirsan Ilyumzhinov greeted the guests of the championship and wished good luck to all the ten teams and expressed hope for brilliant and exciting games. The FIDE President noted the remarkable achievements of representatives of the Armenian chess school, especially he underlined that Armenia is the only country where chess is the compulsory subject of the school curriculum.
Then the teams were called onto the stage for the drawing ceremony.
The first match of the 10th World Chess Championship will be played tomorrow, on April 19th, at 3 pm local time.
