FIDE President arrived to Mongolia on a working visit. At Chinggis Khaan airport Kirsan Ilyumzhinov met with Mr. Yadamsuren Sanjmyatav, Minister of Labour, and Member of Parliament of Mongolia. At the meeting, also present was the Mongolian Chess Federation Delegate to FIDE Mr. Sanbayar Tserendorj.
On September 21, "Mongol Shatar (chess) 9999" festival started in Mongolia, which is organised by the Ministry of Labor, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Tourism. Mr. Sanjmyatav was initiator, he opened chess club in each school of province Zavkhan, while being a governor of the province during the four year term prior to having been elected as MP. "Mongol Shatar (chess) 9999" started in Zavkhan Aimag (Western province) of Mongolia. This special event started in 24 somons with 9999 junior players, in U7, U9, U12, U15 and U18 categories. The Mongolian top players such as GM Batchuluun, IM Munguntuul, IM Lkhagvasuren, IM Gunbayar and WGM Enkhtuul will give a simul and play some games with junior stars.
