The FIDE delegation including the Vice President Israel Gelfer, CEO Geoffrey Borg and FIDE President's Assistant Berik Balgabaev travelled to Baku to inspect the venue and preparations for 2015 World Chess Cup and 2016 World Chess Olympiad. The representatives of FIDE met with the Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs of Azerbaijan Azad Ragimov, the Organizing Committee Director Mahir Mamedov and the Vice President of Azerbaijan Chess Federation Faik Gasanov. The guests with pleasure certified that the preparations are going according to the developed plan and signed documents. The both sides discussed the dates of World Cup, it was agreed that the event will be held from 10th September to 4th October 2015.
