On May 20 President Ilyumzhinov visited the Principality of Andorra where he met with the Prime Minister Antoni Marti, the NOC President Jaume Marti Mandico, the State Secretary for Sports Jordi Cerqueda Sierra, and the Honorary Consul of Russia in Andorra Pere Joan Tomas. Another meeting was held with the leadership of Andorra Chess Federation: the President Francesc Rechi, the Delegate Joan Obregon, the Secretary Josep Rivero and the Technical Director Oscar de la Riva Aguado. The main outcome of the trip was an agreement on implementing the CiS programme in Andorra and the country’s support of the FIDE efforts in becoming part of the Olympic programme. The meetings were also attended by the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sport of Georgia Zurab Azmaiparashvili.
