On April 15 the FIDE President visited FYROM where in Skopje he had several working meetings including the meeting with Marjan Spaseski, Director of the Agency for Youth and Sport. Also present were Lidija Sofrevska-Andonova, a member of the FYROM Chess Federation Board, and Blagoja Bogoevski, President of FYROM Chess Federation.
Another meeting was held in the National Olympic Committee of FYROM, where President Ilyumzhinov joined NOC President Vasil Tupurkovski for a discussion of prospects for inclusion of chess in the programme of Winter Olympic Games.
