On Monday, 23 December 2013, FIDE President had a meeting with Anatoly V. Torkunov, Rector of Moscow State Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia (MGIMO). The Parties discussed the issues of cooperation, chess development in MGIMO, particularly, after opening of the chess club in the institution.
Later Kirsan Ilyumzhinov met with MGIMO students and teachers and informed on the FIDE activities, chess prospects and answered the numerous questions of the journalists.
