After the closing of Grand Prix in Zug the FIDE President travelled to Geneva. There he met with Mr. Luvsantseren ORGIL, Mongolian ambassador to Switzerland and the Permanent Representative of Mongolia to the United Nations Office in Geneva. The meeting was held in a real kibitka constructed in the premises of the embassy. A chess battle took place in the kibitka between the Councillor-Minister Jargalsaikhan Gozon and WGM Tuvshintugs Batchimeg (MGL) who is currently participating in the Grand-Prix in Geneva.

Also the FIDE President met with the Elena Timchenko, President of Fondation Neva and the sponsor of the Women's Grand Prix in Geneva. The issues of further development between two organization were discussed. Special attention was paid to the CiS programme in schools in the canton of Geneva.

Kirsan Ilyumzhinov visited the International Center of Lomonosov Moscow State University (ICL) in Geneva. He met with students of the educational center. The FIDE President was welcomed by the President of the ICL Mr. Tamirlan Gassanov. Most of the students specialize in International Law and Perfoming Arts, but after the FIDE President's lecture the students expressed their desire to play chess as well.
