On April 11 the FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov arrived on a working visit to Baku where the meetings with the Minister of Sports and Youth of Azerbaijan Azad Rahimov and the leadership of chess federation of Azerbaijan are planned.The topic of the meetings is the preparation for the 2015 World Cup and 2016 World Chess Olympiad in Baku. As President Ilyumzhinov noted on his twitter page, he assumes that the possibility of chess inclusion into the 2015 European Sports Games to be held in Baku will be discussed at the meeting as well.
