FIDE Vice President and W.C.O.C member Mr. Israel Gelfer visited Tromso, the venue of the 2013 World Cup and 2014 Olympiad & Congress.
Mr. Gelfer, together with Joran Aulin-Jansson, President of the Norwegian Chess federation, and some members of the organizing committee met the Mayor of Tromso Mr. Hjort Jens Johan, visited the SCANDIC hotel, where the World Cup will take place and also visited the possible venue of the 2014 Olympiad.
Next week, when a final decision about the Olympiad venue will be known more details about the Olympiad venue will be revealed.
