On February 6, the FIDE President arrived in London for the negotiations with Novomatic Group of Companies. The topic of negotiations is possibility of cooperation between FIDE and IMSA to organize the major game shows. Novomatic Group of Companies is one of the largest integrated conglomerates of the international gaming industry. As it was noted at the meeting, FIDE and IMSA consider some perspective ways to popularize chess and other intellectual games in the world by holding the major international shows via Internet, other means of telecommunication as well as the gaming equipment of Novomatic Group. In particular, the projects of holding the major international matches between chess amateurs from different countries are under review. The next day President Ilyumzhinov visited the International Gaming Industry Exhibition.
