Georgios Makropoulos re-elected |

The elections of the Greek Chess Federation (GCF) were held in Titania Hotel of Athens on Sunday 11 November. IM Georgios Makropoulos was once again re-elected as President for another four-year term as his ticket won 61,5% of the votes (123 out of 200 valid votes). The other two tickets gained respectively 24% (led by Ioannis Antoniadis, 48 votes) and 14,5% (led by Ioannis Spirakopoulos, 29 votes).
IM Georgios Makropoulos has been continuously elected as President of the GCF since 1982 (already 30 years!) and this is the tenth election he has won in a row. Mr Georgios Makropoulos is also the Deputy President of FIDE.
