FIDE Treasurer and Executive Director, Nigel Freeman, together with the Continental President of the Americas, Jorge Vega visited Cali for the closing ceremony of the Latin Cup. Mr Freeman congratulated the Colombian Chess Federation for organising such a successful event at such short notice. He also thanked Rosneft for providing the prize fund, which enabled so many players, strong and not so strong to get prizes.
