FIDE President participated in the Turkey-Kazakhstan Forum headed by the Prime Minister of Turkey, Mr. Tayyip Erdogan, and the President of Kazakhstan, Mr. Nursultan Nazarbayev.
At the meeting held with the participation of FIDE President and President of Kazakhstan, the issues of implementation of chess in schools were discussed as well as the possibilities of holding the FIDE events in Kazakhstan including the intention of Kazakhstan Chess Federation to bid for the 2018 World Chess Olympiad and FIDE Congress.
The above mentioned points were more distinctly discussed at the meeting of Mr. Ilyumzhinov with the President of Kazakhstan CF, Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Minister of Industry and New Technologies of Kazakhstan, Mr. Aset Isekeshev.
