At the meeting of the FIDE General Assembly held on September 7th 2012 in Istanbul, Turkey, new Statutes and Electoral Regulations were approved. In accordance with Article 4.16 of the Statutes, these Statutes and Electoral Regulations came into force on the last day of the General Assembly, that is September 9th 2012, after the closing of the General Assembly.
