FIDE President met with Chairman of Accounts Chamber of Russia Print

On June 8 in Moscow the FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov met with the Chairman of the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation Sergey Stepashin. At the meeting the issues of chess development in Russia were discussed. FIDE President told about FIDE’s “Chess in Schools” programme paying a particular attention to its implementation in Russian regions. Sergey Stepashin noted that he is an old fan of this “royal game”, the principle of which is very close to the accounts chamber work as far as the accounting skills are very important in both of them according to Stepashin. In conclusion Kirsan Ilyumzhinov and Sergey Stepashin played a friendly game.
