Sportaccord Convention, Quebec City

FIDE Treasurer/Executive Director, Nigel Freeman, FIDE CEO, Geoffrey Borg, and the Director of FIDE Moscow Office, Berik Balgabaev, met with IOC Winter Games and IF Relations Manager, Sports Department, Christian Wassmer, and IOC Project Officer Winter Games and IF Relations Sports Department, Damien Mollard. Many matters of mutual interest to FIDE and the IOC were discussed and it was agreed that more regular meetings will be held.

Also at Sportaccord, Nigel Freeman and FIDE Special Projects Manager, David Jarrett attended the ARISF General Assembly and Nigel Freeman, FIDE Vice President, Beatriz Marinello and David Jarrett attended several meetings of IMSA.

Sportaccord's 10th Convention is being held in the pleasant surroundings of Quebec City and it's Annual General Meeting, where Nigel Freeman is the FIDE delegate will be held on Friday with the main item on the agenda being the proposed change in statutes.
