The Anniversary of GM Rafael Vaganian |

FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov attended the celebration of the 60th Aniniversary of the prominent Armenian Grand Master Rafael Vaganian. President of Armenia and President of the Armenian Chess Federation Serzh Sargsyan congratulated the player and presented him the state award with the keys from the new residence.
The members of Armenian chess team who won the World Team Championship were also honored during the ceremony. Players were awarded with a state order and received a 100.000 USD prize.
The state award was presented to the leading woman chess player of Armenia Elina Danielian.
FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov congratulated Rafael and presented him a white horse and FIDE branded watch.
