Kirsan Ilyumzhinov visited the FIDE Women's Grand Prix in Nalchik

On 8 October the third stage of the FIDE Women's Grand Prix started in Nalchik, the capital of Kabardino-Balkaria, Russia.
Twelve strong chess players are going to play against each other. The whole world will be watching their games for two weeks.
FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov attended the opening ceremony and delivered a welcome speech to the participants, organizers and guests of the tournament. He pointed out that during these years Nalchik has really become the world chess center as Nalchik hosts big chess events for the fourth time.
The President of Kabardino-Balkarian Republic Arsen Kanokov has also warmly greeted the guests.
