FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov had a working meeting with FIDE Vice Presidents Boris Kutin (Slovenia) and D. V. Sundar (India) who, on their way home from Khanty Mansiysk, informed the FIDE President on the results of the World Chess Cup 2011. It was noted that for the first time the event took place at the Ugra Chess Academy premises. Messrs. Kutin and Sundar also informed the FIDE President about excellent organization of the World Cup's press centre work, highly estimating on-line English and Russian commentary and live games broadcast via Internet.
Ugra's readiness to host the Women's World Chess Championship 2012 was also mentioned during the meeting.
