Working visit of FIDE President to Baku

On September 27, FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov arrived on a working visit to Baku where he participated in the International Youth Forum "New generation: unlimited responsibility." The same day Ilyumzhinov had a meeting with the Russian ambassador to Azerbaijan Vladimir Dorokhin and Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Russia Polad Bülbüloğlu. During his visit to Baku FIDE President also held negotiations with the Minister of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan Azad Rahimov on chess development in Azerbaijan. Later Ilyumzhinov discussed the perspectives of “Chess in Schools” programme implementation with the Minister of Education of Azerbaijan Misir Mardanov. Then FIDE President and President of Azerbaijan CF Elman Rustamov signed the agreement of cooperation between FIDE, Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijan Chess Federation.
