On behalf of the International Chess Federation (FIDE) and me personally I heartedly congratulate Muslims all over the world on the occasion of a great and holy holiday – URAZA BAIRAM, celebrating the end of the Holy month of Ramadan.

This holiday symbolizes the greatness of belief, hope and love and strengthens the believers' mind, turning their thoughts and feelings to the great ideals of humanism. It embodies such basic values as compassion and mercifulness, good and fairness, tolerance and mutual understanding. I am confident that the eternal moral values of Islam will further improve interconfessional dialogue and strengthening of national accord between peoples and states.
