Another pilot project took off on 4th August in the Vietnamese province of Binh Duong. 30 teachers from the top 10 primary schools were selected to attend a training seminar conducted by Asean Chess Academy on behalf of FIDE. FIDE General Secretary Ignatius Leong opened the seminar which was graced by the Vice Mayor of the Province. Senior officials from the departments of education, sports and foreign affairs attended the short ceremony.

The project has already attracted nationwide attention and several provinces have already contacted the national federation to help them co-ordinate similar seminars.
