The 7th World Individual School Chess Championship is taking place in Krakow, Poland on 29 April - 9 May this year. FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov delivered a greeting speech in the opening ceremony of the tournament. The World Individual School Chess Championship is already organized for the seventh time. The event is held under the honorable patronage of Bronislaw Komorowski, President of the Republic of Poland. 400 players with 150 accompanying persons are participating in the competition in Krakow.
