Ruan Lufei became the fourth semi-finalist. It was determined today after she defeated Harika Dronavalli on the tie-break. Playing white in the first game, Indian player received comfortable position from the opening.

In the position on a diagram Harika Dronavalli played 32. bc and entered the variation which happened to be lost for White. After 32. Be3, the position could be full of life. In the second game Chinese player didn`t give almost any chance to equalize the score in the match and safely made a draw.

Therefore Hou Yifan will play against Humpy Koneru while two Chinese players Ruan Lufei and Zhao Xue will compete with each other.
